About us
Bridge to Success is a charity helping people from ethnic minority backgrounds (BAME communities) become more employable in the UK. We work across the North East of England.
Our mission
To help people from ethnic minority backgrounds build the skills, confidence and understanding they need to succeed in the UK job market, through English language support, practical guidance on navigating UK employment, and help making the most of qualifications and experience gained abroad.
Who we help
We support people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds in the North East who want to improve their English, build skills and find work. We also help the children of immigrant families settle in and get ahead, supporting them as they find their own footing in the UK.
Our story
Bridge to Success was founded on a simple idea: immigrants helping immigrants. We know first-hand how hard it can be to navigate a new country's job market, make sense of unfamiliar systems, and have qualifications and experience from abroad properly recognised and valued. Bridge to Success exists to be the place people can come to get that education and understanding, so that people from ethnic minority backgrounds in the North East can translate what they already know and can do into real opportunities in the UK.
